Join Our Team as a Blue Light Ambulance Driver
We are looking for Blue Light Trained Drivers to work with one of our private ambulance clients in Gillingham, Chertsey, Oxford, London and Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced emergency response drivers to be part of a dedicated team, providing critical patient transport under blue light conditions.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive under blue light conditions, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients.
- Work alongside emergency response teams to deliver high-quality service, you will not be providing patient care.
📍 Locations: Gillingham | Chertsey | Brighton | Oxford | London
📅 Start Date: Immediate start for Oxford and London, 1st April 2025 start for other bases
💷 Pay Rate: To be discussed
🕒 Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (12-hour shifts – days & nights)
What We Require:
✔️ Blue Light Training – must meet the Driving Standards Agency’s "Blue Light Expectations".
✔️ Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD) or equivalent – essential for claiming exemptions under Section 19 of the Road Traffic Act 2006. Previous blue light qualifications from Police or Fire Service will be considered if you have driven on blue lights within the last 3 years.
✔️ Basic Life Support (BLS) Training – we can arrange this if required.
✔️ C1 Category Licence – a valid C1 licence is mandatory.
✔️ Recent Blue Light Driving Experience – candidates must have completed a blue light run within the last 3 years (Police or other emergency services experience accepted).
