The Summer of Events in the UK is not over
After a weekend that saw England crowned Cricket World Cup Champions, a marathon final at Wimbledon, and Lewis Hamilton winning the British Grand Prix title, it would be easy to think the summer of UK events is coming to a close. However, there is plenty more to look forward to. We have put together our list of the top 5 events left this summer. If you are lucky enough to be attending these events. Veho Solutions’ “Chauffeur in your own car” service, may be the perfect way for you to travel.
#5 Last Night of The Proms, 14th September
While the season is well underway, the final of the 2019 Proms is due to be a patriotic masterpiece. This year, mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton will join Sakari Oramo and the BBC Symphony Orchestra to bring this music festival to a spectacular close.
#4 Qatar Goodwood Festival, 30th July- 3rd August
Qatar Goodwood Festival sits alongside Royal Ascot, and Cheltenham in offering a week long spectacle of some of the biggest names in racing. This year features a new fillies’ race for two-year olds, filing the gap in the season between Royal Ascot in June, and Newbury in August.
#3 The Ashes, 1st August – 16th September
Hot off their historic World Cup win, our English heroes will ditch their colourful pyjamas and white ball to reignite one of the most historic rivalries in sport. Holders Australia will look to maintain the Urn and avenge their Semi Final Loss in the World Cup. The 5 tests will be held in Birmingham, London (Lord’s), Leeds, Manchester and London (The Oval), allowing cricket fans across the UK an opportunity to see the World Champions in action.
#2 Goodwood Revival, 13th-15th September
Good Revival is the ultimate experience in vintage cars, focusing on vehicles from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, reliving the glory days of the Goodwood circuit. You’ll see attendees in period clothes, and even a 1950’s Tesco! A truly unique experience for car, and vintage fans alike.
#1 The Rugby World Cup, 20th September- 2nd November
Although the World Cup is held in Japan, this will still be a huge event all across the UK. If the past Football, and Cricket World Cups are anything to go by, pubs, and parks will be full of fans getting behind their team. What a great end to the summer this could be.
